About the Opportunity:
An established and growing construction company is seeking a skilled Drywall & Paint Superintendent to take ownership of the field operations for self-performed scopes. This role plays a key part in project delivery — blending boots-on-the-ground leadership with planning, coordination, and oversight responsibilities.
Position Overview:
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, understands the nuances of drywall and paint work, and can also handle scheduling, crew allocation, and coordination with project teams. It’s a Superintendent role with elements of project management — but grounded in field knowledge and execution.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily field activities for all self-performed drywall and paint work.
- Build and maintain detailed project schedules; adjust timelines as needed to meet milestones.
- Coordinate manpower needs across multiple jobs and deploy crews effectively.
- Manage material procurement, deliveries, and usage on-site.
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals; submit and track RFIs.
- Ensure high standards of quality control, safety, and jobsite organization.
- Collaborate with PMs, GCs, and other subcontractors to support smooth project flow.
- Participate in jobsite meetings and provide clear reporting on field progress and challenges.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in drywall and/or paint, including foreman or lead roles.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, field coordination, and material requirements.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents.
- Comfortable with scheduling tools and managing RFIs.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
