Project Manager

El Dorado Hills, CA

We’re working with a well-established residential construction and design-build firm that’s seeking a Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects from pre-construction through completion. This is a client-facing role that requires strong coordination across estimating, field operations, and customer communication.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning and manage timelines from design through permit issuance
  • Participate in site consultations and help develop scopes of work and early cost assessments
  • Coordinate and manage consultants, utility design, and pre-construction logistics
  • Create and manage budgets, solicit bids, and qualify trade partners
  • Prepare and update scopes of work, specifications, and change orders
  • Support field operations by coordinating schedules, documentation, and permitting
  • Maintain project management software with up-to-date schedules, daily logs, and vendor info
  • Participate in job readiness meetings, milestone inspections, and internal project reviews
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide consistent project updates, documentation, and meeting follow-ups
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and timely resolution of any issues or concerns
  • Track budget vs. actual costs and support final walkthroughs and warranty closeout


Qualifications

  • Residential or design-build construction experience in a project management or coordinator role
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail
  • Experience with budgeting, estimating, and construction scheduling
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, design, field teams, and clients
  • Excellent communication and follow-through
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., JobTread, Buildertrend, or similar)
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, consultant reports, and utility drawings
  • Knowledge of permitting processes and local building codes is a plus
  • Client-facing experience and a collaborative approach to team success
