Field Operations/Land Development Manager | Homebuilding 

We’re partnered with a leading homebuilder in the Sacramento area seeking a Field Operations and Land Development Manager to oversee the execution of residential development projects from entitlement through final buildout. This is a key role for someone with deep expertise in managing all phases of land development, field operations, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage development projects from permitting through construction, plat recording, and community turnover

  • Oversee site operations including grading, utilities, paving, landscaping, amenities, and inspections

  • Collaborate with construction leadership to deliver finished lots on schedule

  • Maintain relationships with municipalities and ensure compliance with land use and development regulations

  • Monitor and reconcile project budgets; support value-engineering during planning stages

  • Handle SWPPP management, HOA coordination, and bond release processes

  • Ensure timely delivery of marketing features such as entry landscaping and community amenities

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of land development experience in residential construction

  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, civil plans, and site work

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools

  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
