Project Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to the Project Manager and the construction team
  • Understanding of job cost forecasting methodology and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of CPM scheduling methodology
  • Understanding plan reading and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of basic contract law and job specific requirements
  • Use computer skills to manage project documents and data
  • Knowledge of HCSS HeavyJob [minor exp.] and Oracle P6 CPM Scheduling Software
  • Experience with Vista Accounting Software and MS Office applications
  • Ability to take work progress photos and maintain document control system
  • Coordinate punch lists, final inspections, and reviews of O&M’s, guarantees and warranties, and contractor training of owner personnel
  • Desire to participate in reviewing RFIs and coordinate a response in a timely manner
  • Monitor work progress as it relates to the schedule and assist with the monthly updates to the master schedule

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in construction project management
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with HCSS HeavyJob, Oracle P6 CPM Scheduling Software, Vista Accounting Software, and MS Office applications
  • Strong understanding of job cost forecasting methodology and CPM scheduling methodology
